From the father Theo "Amalia Gkourasas was born this morning at 10:23 am. She weighed in at 6 lb 10oz and is 48cm. Mother and daughter are doing very well!" Thank you Lee-Ann and Theo for making us uncle/aunts/grandparents for the 4th time! She is a truly a wonder and the best Easter gift we (as a family) have received. Wishing nothing but the best! Καλοφώτιστη, χιλιόχρονη και με υγεία. Ότι επιθυμείτε! Pictures follow after the break!
I really don't know what's wrong with me since really most of the things in my life are going great. However, I find myself engaged more and more into sadder songs. This was just too good to pass up, although not really well known even within Greece. I find the lyrics to be incredible and I could only wish to be able to write similar stuff someday. Literally the song writer (... and performer in this case) has an amazing talent, for putting emotions to words. I translated the lyrics for non-Greek folks. Μάθε μου να περπατάω ξανά - Θέμης Καραμουρατίδης
Tonight will mark my first attempt to Greek (not exactly) poetry. I scribbled it today on my way to and from work. My apologies to those that will not understand the below... you can try running it through a translator, but a lot will get lost in translation. I have also included another poem, one of my favourites, by Khalil Gibran, for your entertainment. To those that will understand it, love it or hate it, just be gentle :)
